The Nordic religion is believed to have flourished in the 9th and 10th centuries across much of northern Europe, specifically, Iceland and Greenland. But its origins lie further back in the Scandinavian Bronze age (c.1600-450 BCE). From the 3rd to the 6th centuries the god Odin, became the chief of the pantheon worshipped by the Vikings.
